This site was designed by The 50plus Organisation Ltd.

The site underwent a major revision in January 2010 with the introduction of new services. August 2009 edition saw the traditional banner replaced by a new brighter banner. Updates earlier in 2009 saw a number of more subtle changes including improved menus and the addition of social bookmarking elements.

The May 2008 edition saw an upgrade to wider display aspect ratio with a screen width of 1024 pixels. Research showed over 95% of readers had screens which accommodated this width which in turn enables a clearer display of content with more space and centred pages.

The site is designed to run on Level 5 and higher browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox) although the majority of the site should also run successfully with lesser functionality on lower level browsers. Site design is on Apple Mac computers.
