50plus Handyman Services
50plus Handyman provides a service which enables
all those outstanding maintenance or improvement tasks around a home or
place of work to be completed.
The 50plus Handyman service includes:
- Plumbing works ranging from changing
tap washers, repairing toilets, cisterns and overflows and heating systems
to installing showers, shower pumps and refurbishing bathrooms
- Electrical works ranging from minor repairs,
fitting replacement lights, additional sockets, outside power and lighting
to new consumer units. 50plus is NICEIC registered and notifies work
under Part P of the Building Regulations. We also provide a certified
safety electrical inspection service for landlords
- Gas works including servicing and installing
boilers and appliances and a certified safety inspection service for
landlords (the gas service is not available in all areas)
- Fixing curtain rails, replacing doors,
laying flooring and assembling flat pack furniture
- Painting and decorating both inside and
outside your premises
- General works and maintenance both inside
and outside your home or place of work
- Independent living / stay at home services
- Commercial fitting services e.g. key safes
- and more including fitting plasma screens
and telephone extensions.

We segment the service into four areas for the
purpose of pricing:
- Tiny Tasks
- Decorating (& gardening where available)
- Basic Works
- Plumbing & Electrical Plus.
Tiny Task examples are:
- change light bulbs
- set up TV's, phones etc.
- move something
- install batteries
- fit a simple battery powered smoke alarm.
Decorating and gardening examples are:
- painting and decorating inside & outside
- minor making good prior to/during decorating
- garden maintenance.
Basic Works examples are:
- fit blinds & curtain rails
- fit small items e.g. notice boards, hang pictures
- minor non plumbing/electrical repairs
- basic carpentry
- installing insulation
- hanging doors
- fencing.
Plumbing & Electrical Plus examples are:
- all plumbing
- all electrical
- all gas
- tiling
- install bathrooms/kitchens
- guttering & low level roofing
- plastering.
