Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

The 50plus web site uses cookies in certain areas (e.g. for the automated booking service and ordering) and when interacting with third party web sites such as PayPal. Use of the 50plus site may also result in third party cookies (for example from Google) being placed on a user's computer if cookies are allowed. These are typically used for analysis purposes to enable 50plus to improve the site and for advertising purposes. For further information about cookies you can visit www.aboutcookies.org.

Use of cookies by 50plus

Our service provider sets cookies on your computer to track visits. No personally identifiable information is collected. 50plus also allows third party cookies as set out below for analysis and order placement purposes.

You can prevent or control the use of cookies, should you wish to, by using the privacy settings in your browser. It is suggested that for cookies that function across many web sites, such as Google analytics and Google adsense, you look at and take advantage of the facilities Google provides to control your privacy across all the sites you visit.

If you don’t want to receive cookies, you can modify your browser so that it notifies you when cookies are sent to it or you can refuse cookies altogether. You can also delete cookies that have already been set.

If you wish to restrict or block web browser cookies which are set on your device then you can do this through your browser settings; the Help function within your browser should tell you how. Alternatively, you may wish to visit www.aboutcookies.org, which contains comprehensive information on how to do this on a wide variety of desktop browsers.

You can control placement of Cookies, should you wish to, by the means identified above. You can also delete any existing cookies using the Tools, Preferences or Internet options facility in your browser (this depends on which browser you are using). Continued use of the site agrees to our use of cookies as described, or that you have set the privacy options in your browser, or as described in the table, according to your requirements.
