Thank you all for the many answers to our last competition which was in Spring. Penny Allen won an hour of plumbing, electrical or handy works by correctly identifying that RMS stands for Root Mean Square. Well done Penny and thank you all for your entries.
For our current competition we are once again providing an hour of free plumbing, electrical or handy labour to the winner, picked out of the hat, who correctly answers this question.
We often use the terminology ‘GHz’.
Our competition requires a two part answer:
(i) What does ‘GHz’ stand for? and
(ii) What, in the UK, did we call the ‘Hz’ part before it was so named?
To enter the competition please email your answer to
email@example.com with the subject Competition 0920.
The competition closes at 12:00 hours on Monday 30th November 2020. Correct answers submitted prior to this time and date will be entered into a draw from which the winner will be picked. The winner will be notified by email.
