A message from The 50plus - Coronavirus / Covid19
The safety of our customers and service provider colleagues is paramount. Here at The 50plus we are continuing where possible to serve our customers whilst being more than aware that quite a number are in the higher risk bracket, as are some of our service providers. Because of this we have introduced some specific measures to protect both colleagues and customers.
We will ensure that those of you (and particularly our elderly customers) who have issues with heating, hot water, power or other essential needs are attended to whilst minimising risk to both you and our service providers. Non-essential work is halted until such time that Government decrees that business can start returning to normal.
We will attend (as long as Government allows) if there are no Coronavirus symptoms present in the household / premises or customers are not 'self-isolating' and we have staff available. If there is a situation where someone is ill or isolating and a real emergency exists talk to us.
When we attend premises we are asking our customers to keep physically clear, preferably in another room and make payments by card from their own phone. We are not accepting cash. Our service providers will use gloves where practical and for entering and leaving premises.
We have a skeleton staff answering telephones but as they are quieter than normal you should be be able to get through. Please note that we have reduced opening hours, please see our contact page. The majority of our suppliers are open but are offering a reduced service.
Gas Safe and Electrical Installation Condition Report inspections are being deferred.
If you have any questions or concerns do let us know.
